LANDAUER® Announces ALARA Service for myLDR®
ALARA Service is a completely digital workflow that simplifies the management of ALARA notifications, tracking, and record-keeping.
LANDAUER® is leading the digital radiation safety workflow transformation by releasing another product to help Radiation Safety Officers (RSOs) reduce the time spent on manual tasks and the risk to regulatory compliance.
Many RSOs and radiation safety teams spend long hours documenting ALARA exceptions, often downloading reports, sending emails, printing reports, scheduling meetings for follow up, and ultimately trying to document clearly that these activities took place.
The new ALARA Service for myLDR® eliminates those steps, creating a streamlined, efficient way to manage ALARA exceptions.
“No matter how attentive everyone is, ALARA exceptions can still happen. When they do, immediate action is necessary,” says David Foth, Product Manager for myLDR. “But taking action when an ALARA exception happens has many steps that need to be documented, and until now, there hasn’t been an easy way to do it.”
ALARA Service provides subscribers with the ability to:
- Eliminate manual tracking. View a clear and easy “to-do” list, where customers can manage their quarterly and annual ALARA exceeders.
- Customize the ALARA notifications. Create custom templates for each account, using their own descriptions, questions, and content.
- Send one-click notifications. Send ALARA notifications to exceeders, with automatic reminders and immediate response notifications. No more wondering if they’ve been received or viewed!
- Keep everyone in the loop. Include supervisors and support staff on notifications.
- Be ready for the next inspection. Access and print a comprehensive activity history for each ALARA notification.
ALARA Service is available as an add-on to myLDR. Customers can add this package within their myLDR account.
